The domestic gold price did not change this morning (August 2), while the central exchange rate turned down by 3 dong.
At 9 am, Doji Corporation and Saigon Jewelry Company announced the buying price at 77.80 million dong/tael and the selling price at 79.80 million dong/tael, unchanged from the previous closing session. Yesterday morning, the price of this brand increased by 800,000 dong per tael.
Similarly, the price of gold rings also did not adjust this morning. Specifically, Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.0 gold rings from 76.35-77.65 million dong/tael. Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of plain gold rings was listed at 76.43-77.63 million dong/tael (buying/selling). In the previous session, the price of gold rings also increased by 350,000 dong/tael.
Internationally, the gold price fluctuated around $2,445/ounce, decreasing by $5/ounce compared to the same time in the previous session. This price level, when converted, is equivalent to 74.8 million dong/tael.
This morning, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate on August 2 is 24,242 dong/USD, decreasing by 3 dong compared to August 1.
With this change, Vietinbank buys at 25,055 dong/USD and sells at 25,395 dong/USD. Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate from 25,060-25,400 dong/USD, also remaining stable.
However, BIDV raised by 30 dong, with the new price ranging from 25,060-25,400 dong/USD; Agribank announced a new price ranging from 25,060-25,380 dong/USD, increasing by 20 dong compared to the previous closing session.
